General Info |
There's plenty to do in Bass Harbor, a fishing village and working harbor on the southern end of Mount Desert Island. The Swan's Island Ferry leaves from here, and the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, Wonderland and Ship Harbor hiking trails, part of Acadia National Park, are a mile or so away. At Little Island
Marine, the small boatyard which shares the peninsula with the Little Island
House, the "Island Cruise" makes
nature trips and lunch cruises daily. A rowboat is available from our dock for
rowing around the harbor anytime. Restaurants are within walking
distance. |
