Acadia Woods Kennel is a family owned and operated pet care facility. It is centrally located on 12 wooded acres in rural Town Hill, a small village of Bar Harbor.

Dogs have indoor sleeping areas with radiant infloor heat and are provided with a blanket. Each dog has a private, roomy, covered outdoor exercise run.

For a small additional fee our staff take your dog for a casual stroll on our private access road two times a day.

Cats are comfortable in their spacious two-story "condos" with a hidaway for the cat who prefers privacy. We have a well equipped play room adjacent to the condos.

Small animals and birds can be accommodated by special arrangement.

Each boarder receives daily personal attention.

We welcome day boarders. We will care for your pet while you enjoy activities that cannot accommodate your pet. We offer a safe, secure and healty environment that is sure to give you the peace of mind you want.

Note: If we find your pet has fleas we will bathe it at your expense!

Grooming: Certified professional groomers provide grooming services for all breeds of dogs and cats by appointment. If you wish to have your pet groomed while it boards with us please indicate this when you make your reservation.

Diet: We feed boarders Precise foods and fresh water is available at all times. If your pet is on a special diet you may provide it with directions. We will administer medications you provide per your instructions.

Vaccinations: For everyone's protection we require proof of vaccinations. We will accept faxes or call your veterinarian at your expense.

Dogs require: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Canine Cough (recommended)

Cats require: Rabies and Distemper.

Veterinary Services: If, in our judgement, your pet requires the services of a veterinarian you will be responsible for the incurred expenses. We use Dr. Mark Fine in Bar Harbor for all emergency veterinary services.

Pet Supplies: We offer a wide variety of pet care essentials. Our staff will assist you in making correct choices for your pet. We carry Precise premium foods.

Pick-up & Delivery: This service is available for an additional fee.

• Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 7am-9am & 3pm-5pm
• Thanksgiving & Christmas as announced

Reservations and Cancellations: Reservations must be paid for in advance, either by credit card or check. Cancellations 5 days prior to arrival will result in a refund (subject to a $10.00 fee).
